Welcome to ESL Conversation Lesson Plans!

What can I use them for?

Although adaptable to any classroom situation, these lessons are devised with one-one-one classes in mind. Although it's quite easy to find lesson plans for group conversation classes, and relatively easy to plan lively group speaking activities, there seems to be less material available for the poor beleaguered teacher who has to sit in a room with a single student and inspire their interest for 90 minutes every week.

How are they organised?

There are five free lesson plans available for download. Further lesson plans are downloadable for a small fee. Your downloadable PDF will include suggested instructions for presenting each lesson, as well as links to all necessary multimedia materials. Of course, the lessons can be adapted in any way you see fit.

Anything else?

Finally, a trick you may not be aware of: If you wish to download any of the YouTube videos used in these lessons, enter the letters ‘SS’ after the ‘www.’ and before ‘youtube.com…’ in the address of any video. Press enter and follow the onscreen instructions. For example: http://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=fu1lRZqeNX0
Good luck, and have fun!
